Expedition CD Player Not Working????

I have a 2000 Expy and the stock CD changer/player isn't working. I can hear it attempting to load the CD's - but it doesn't and then after attemtping all of them it says "empty magazine." But there all in there.

Any insight?

i know this is a stupid question but you do have the cds facing the correct way when you try to load them. just asking

also do you get a no disc on the readout between them trying to be loaded. has the player ever worked. it might need a good cleaning

My cd player did the same thing. The problem was the motor for the mechanism that grabs the trays from the magazine. I spun the motor gear to free it up. Had to take the whole changer apart. I hope this helps you.
