Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

It sounds like the Brake Shift Interlock Actuator is not working. Check you owner's manual on how to get it out of park. My wife is out shopping otherwise I would type it in here.

If it is like the Lincoln Mark VIII that I had, you can put the key in ACCY and then shift to neutral and then start the car. That should get you home.

You will find that it is a TSB code... I am having the same problem right now. You'll notice that you have no break lights also. I replaced the break switch and the fuses are just fine.
I know that if you put your key in and turn it one click (not so it turns the truck on) then it should shift to Neutral and you can start it in Neutral JUST MAKE SURE YOUR FOOT IS ON THE BREAK OR YOU'LL START ROLLING. -It's a strange feeling, I forgot that part.
Do you have any update on your problem??

I have an '01 and started having the same problem this morning. I figured out the 'neutral' thing and was able to get to work, but noticed that I can't use any of my power windows. The drivers window is stuck down. After I got home and opened my door, I saw that my interior lights are no longer working. Does anybody know exactly what is wrong with these trucks, what does it take to get it fixed and how much?? This sucks! This is our only vehicle and we have four kids! (4 kids = 0 Money) I suppose I should check my break light situation.....

anybody?
