Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default how do i get the 8" subwoofer out the Expedition??

My aunt has a '98 Expedition Eddie Bauer. It has the Mach system radio which has the 8" sub from the factory in the rear passenger panet. I took all the screws out but that speaker will not come out. What is holding it? I hope i dont' have to take the panel loose like i had to with my explorer to get to the preamp. I see the preamp and sub, it just will not come out. the speaker spins but won't snap out.

Can anyone tell me how to get this out? A trick or tip or something.

Thanks

Default sub

I have a 99 eddie bauer expeditionand blew my subwoofer. The only way to remove it is to remove the rear quarter panel. The speaker doesn't come out because it has a bolt that is screwed into the back of the sub through the sealed box that it's in. Sorry to tell you this but I it found out the hard way. Luckily is not to hard to remove once the panel is off. Getting the panel off is a little tricky and took about 30 minutes to figure it out but once you get it off you'll never forget how to put it back together. Think of it as an adventure so strap on the gatorade and get going.......It's not to bad, just takes some finess and patience. If you need anyhelp just email me pauhana822@yahoo.com.

Good luck,
Kimo
