You're talking about aftermarket performance upgrades. There are no right answers or good suggestions for these upgrades, except for the ones who have made these upgrades in their own cars, and can tell you whether it's a good idea or a bad idea, especially over the course of several years and thousands of miles without the slightest problem/complaint. Search the internet for upgrade kits, for example, an exhaust upgrade kit that includes a performance chip/module that makes adjustments to the computer for that specific upgrade. The best upgrade kits are the ones that won't void a manufacturer's warranty.
This is probably the wrong place to be asking for aftermarket advice. I'm graduating in May with an AAS degree in Automotive Technology, and all I'm going to say is I stay away from aftermarket upgrades. Most of the time the ones who design the aftermarket parts aren't as smart as the engineers who designed the vehicle from the ground up, taking every part and the effects that part has on the rest of the parts throughout the vehicle into consideration. Even automakers haven't perfected the design of the automobile, as a matter of fact they're nowhere close! I drive a WS6 Trans Am that is still stock everything except for the air filter. I won't upgrade beyond that because the K&N air filter is one of the few aftermarket products that has been proven not to destroy an automobile over the course of 1,000 to 250,000 miles.
For example, if you upgrade the air flow through the engine by upgrading the intake and/or exhaust, you're going to want to equally upgrade the fuel and possibly even the ignition system. Once that's been done and you have all of this added power, what effect will it have on the rest of the parts throughout the vehicle? Can the engine and drivetrain handle the added stress? If so, for how long? There aren't alot of guaranteed answers when it comes to aftermarket parts.
This is about all the advice I can give, you can take it or leave it. Just be aware of the risk involved in modifying the manufacturer's design.
