rear factory speaker and amp

to the 393:
If you are referring to the sub in the rear cargo area (in front of the jack door) the subwoofer has an independent that is amp mounted to the ABS plastic sub box. Also the door mounted speakers run off the output of the radio and not a separate amplifier. Does your truck have the "Mach" sound system? If so did you use the Metra harness that adds control of your factory sub from an aftermarket head unit?

to dbleh: most factory amps have so little output power that they would not be worth wiring for an after market sub.

If you're talking about the speaker and amp in the rigt rear cargo area, that's the subwoofer speaker and amp. I have a 98 Expy and blew out my factory sub. I couldn't get the old sub speaker out and it was going to cost too much to get a replacement factory sub so I replaced it with a 10" Kicker boxed sub and wired it to the factory amp. Sounds much better than the factory sub.

i don't think you need a crossover. once you figure out the volt settings i'm sure you can get it working in no time.
