Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

I got mine from my cousin, the check engine light was on at that time he said to just get the plugs changed and that would take care of it, well to add to the problem the thing acts like its out of gas as i put on the gas, and it just sputters for a bit until i go a bit faster. it seems like its getting worse too.I did get the plugs changed ( not a misfire like i was told)
and still the same actions. what do i do? help!!!
I was told that it could be the computer what do u guys think?? thanks for any help!

Sounds like a throttle position sensor to me.

Default Spuddering Expedition

Buy a code reader from E-bay for OBDII (cheaper there) and you may find that cylinder number 4 (Pass. side rear) is the problem. What happens is the hole where the spark plug goes gets filled with antifreeze from the heater hose above and saturates the boot from the coil to the spark plug causing the miss fire condition. Again, return to ebay and purchase a new Coil On Plug for your truck. I got mine off e-bay brand new in Motorcraft box for $35.00 inc. shipping, as part stores were $49-$59 and dealer was $110.00!! This a common problem and will see this talked about alot on the internet. Good luck!!

They will pull the codes for you for free at AutoZone. Just because the light is not on does not mean you don't have some stored codes in there. But, if it is intermittent CPU problems, the code that appears may not be the problem, just a symptom of the CPU dying. I'd start with the codes, though. Good luck with this one.

If the code reads "fuel too lean" could this be the problem regarding the coil?
