Ford Expedition True expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.

Default Blinking Overdrive Indicator

Associated with this blinking indicator lamp on the shift lever is an apparent incomplete engagement of the overdrive function. Acceleration is dramatically restricted and I am given to manually shift to first or second gear to get moving.

Has any reader experienced this? I venture to guess there has been a failure of the electronics in the transmission. I have come here to post my inquiry because your guidance might get my car going again sooner. My area's dealers have a two week appointment delay and, though I am under warranty, your pointers could fix my problem sooner.

Thank you JLDickmon but, to take advantage of the warranteed transmission work, I am required to have a Ford dealer perform the repair. I checked and learned that there are no other Blue Oval repair sites than Ford dealerships.
