Ford ExpeditionTrue expeditions require additional transportation conveyances: horses, boats, cars, for example. With a towing capacity around 9,000 pounds, the Ford Expedition can tow any of these. Ford adds a new top end King Ranch model for 2008, as well as an available rear backup camera and power-retractable running boards. The Expedition is meant for utility, not posing.
I hope someone can help me. I have a 2004 Expedition with 20" chrome wheels. Discount tire has been great, trying to help me. They have replaced all 4 tires(which were only 7 months old to begin with) Balanced, balanced and balanced the tires...I still have a slight vibration from 60-75. Any suggestions?
Ok..looked up what that was...and yes they did. As of now they had to put weights on the inside AND outside of the wheel, not too happy about that showing on my chrome wheels....where do i go from here? Thanks!
personally, I think you may have exceeded one of the engineering limits of the vehicle... I could go on some boring lecture about suspension design and operation, but I won't, because A: it wouldn't make any difference to the truck, and; B: not a whole lot you could do about it anyway..
but as I typed this, something came to me... you may want to try installing a "steering stabilizer" on it... it might dampen just enough of the vibration to make it bearable.
Thank you very much for your suggestions. I think we have it finally! I bought the SUV with those wheels and tires on it, so I guess Ford blew that one!!I still love my Expedition!!
