Ford Explorer Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. Explorer was completely redesigned in 2006 and we were pleased with the new steering, new suspension, and new brakes, all of which were vastly improved over the previous-generation.

Default Speakers losing sound

Hello. My explorer's stereo has done something weird twice since I bought it. I will start the engine and of course, one of the first things I do when I jump in my car is listen to music; well, one day the front speakers didn't produce any sound at all; the first time this happened, there was some sound coming from all front and back speakers, but I had to turn the volume all the way up to be able to hear anything. This morning, only the back speakers were working. I thought it was maybe because of the cold weather outside, but then again it also did the same thing when the weather was nice. So what I did is I turned the music off and about half an hour down the road, I turned it back on and the sound was back to normal. I was looking at the maintenance records from the previous owner; it seems the speakers have been replaced twice. Has this happened to anyone? I own a 2004 Explorer Eddie Bauer
