Ford Explorer Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. Explorer was completely redesigned in 2006 and we were pleased with the new steering, new suspension, and new brakes, all of which were vastly improved over the previous-generation.

I was sooooo pumped...I did my first burnout in my Exploder yesterday after doing the brown wire mod...it works great. I even got a carbon fiber nitrous arming switch mounted in my center console to engage the Auto 4wd...totallly bad ass

Hey man, you do not want to do burn outs if you use your 4wd!!! Doing burnouts with the BWM will burn out your transfer case! I'm not trying to be a jerk but just giving you a warning about doing that. I know if my truck didn't have the 2wd/4auto/4low section and was setup like yours I wouldn't even do the BWM thats asking for trouble.

He did the Brown Wire Mod, this eliminates the 4X4 engaging.... it makes it like a 2 wheel drive car.... no damage will be done!

If your exhaust tip is larger than your cylinder bore, then you are a Ricer.

I'm saying if he uses his 4wd in his truck do not do burnouts with the brown-wire-mod. I'm well aware of how the BWM works but doing burnouts while you have the BWM engaged in 2wd mode will ruin the internal structures of the transfer case. If you don't believe me then wait til he does it some more and is on here asking what he should do because the transfer case isn't engaging the 4wd. I wouldn't say something if it weren't true. The system in the 97+ explorers weren't designed to do things like burnouts they're setup in such a way that the transfer case will be ruined if burnouts are done while the truck is in 2wd BWM mode.

Now I thought the BWM kills all power and wont let anything engage in the transfer case?

It does cut off power to the t-case but will ruin the t-case still. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just giving a fair warning about it after all t-cases can be expensive to replace if you need 4X4 sometimes.

Will driving normal damage the transfer case with the BWM?

No normal driving is alright its just excessive wheel spinning that will cause damage to the transfer case.
