Can anyone tell me of another transmission fluid to use besides Mercon VXT5QM,as i am changing the fluid and filter,and dont want to spend a fortune.

It has been my experience that it is best to use the recommended fluid. The fluid has a number of additives in it that control the viscosity and it has certain additives that allow just the right amount of friction.
i have a 92 ford explorer and i t drove fine for 25 mins to day it will go into reverse but now it wont go in any other gear does any body know what is happening
