| tips for replacing spark plugs for explorer I decided to change my plugs. I noticed the back was real close to another part, so
i said I'm going to have pay and have this done. But if I turned the wheels far left, and sat down facing the rear, I could reach the sparkplug. I managed all 6, wasn't too bad since I figured that out. of course u would want to do it w/ a cold engine, as it's right there by exhaust manifold.

| Also removing the passenger tire and part of the wheel well makes it a 10 min job on the passenger side. The drivers side is easy too with the right tools.

| If youre replacing the wires too. Use an exacto knofe and slice the boot so it falls off, and use an extension. Once i did this, the entier passanger side took 30 min. Drivers side i did from the top It was a SOHC V6 |

| Yeah I cant remember what I used but I dont remember having that much of an issue with them. I know the Explorer had 92,000 miles and it was starting to miss so I just replaced the plugs and wires.

| I agree, wheel wells really are the best way to get in there. They didn't design explorer's for spark plug changes, thats for sure. Just be sure to use anti-seize when you put in the new plugs, otherwise you will regret it when you need to change them again.

There's a place I know about, where the dirt road runs out, and we can try out the 4 wheel drive..come on now, what do you say?
I've got the perfect place in mind, it's in the middle of nowhere, only one way to get there, you got to get a little mud on the tires.
