Ford Explorer Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. Explorer was completely redesigned in 2006 and we were pleased with the new steering, new suspension, and new brakes, all of which were vastly improved over the previous-generation.

Cool 2006 Explorer gauges/low tire monitor
I have a 2006 Explorer XLS and I main complaint about this is that when it is sunny and I have to wear sunglasses, I can not read the speedometer nor any of the other gaugess. The same thing on overcast days, without sunglasses.

When the temprature is 35 degrees F or lower, my tire air pressure light comes on and with not go off until I have driven a few miles.... anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I have the problem with the tire pressure. Keeping the nominal pressure at 36psi usually eliminates this problem. The sensors come on at 28lbs.
