Ford Explorer Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. Explorer was completely redesigned in 2006 and we were pleased with the new steering, new suspension, and new brakes, all of which were vastly improved over the previous-generation.

Default '02 Explorer blower motor

Hi folks,

The blower motor on my '02 Explorer doesn't run on any speed setting. It was previously running on high speed (setting 4) only and then it quit altogether. I replaced the blower resistor this morning, no difference. The fuse in the engine compartment fuse box is good. Any ideas? Am I looking at replacing the motor itself? Thanks.

before you replace the motor hook it up to direct power if it runs then it is still good, then check heater switch

verify you have power at both wires of the blower motor.I could be possible to have a bad ground.
