Ford Explorer Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. Explorer was completely redesigned in 2006 and we were pleased with the new steering, new suspension, and new brakes, all of which were vastly improved over the previous-generation.

Default Ford Expl 02 Dual Air problems

Hello everyone. I am new this forum.

I have problems with a Ford Explorer 02, Eddie Bauer, Dual Climate Control, V8, 2wd..

I recently changed the AC Clutch Coil that suffered damage to the electrical contact. The contact actually broke off...

The problem is that the Passenger Side AC does not blow cold air. Even before I changed the AC Clutch coil, the passenger side vents were not obeying the climate control changes.

My first thoughts are that the climate control for the Passenger side is damaged. I couldn't find a thread on this subject.

Has someone seen this problem before?

Equinman,
You posted in the new member section and made the same mistake that many do... This section is to say Hi... I like my car or something.

You should really post your question in the appropriate section like air and heat, or exzpedition or something...
SO please repost your question,
in the meantime a 7 page discussion in the windstar section addresses your porblem pretty well.
