I haven't actually tried that yet. I'm stuck at a standstill assuming we've identified the wire that might be causing the grounding/short. But now that you mention this, it brings back the memory that we could clearly hear the fuel pump "prime" once the suspect wire was identified and bypassed. But then there WOULD be a fuse blown as soon as we hooked the circuit back up.
Completely eliminating the fuel pump might is a great suggestion and be an additional troubleshooting step that would be easy enough to do prior to spending a huge amount of time fishing the wiring harness out that is nearly unreachable without lifting the engine.
Because of the inaccessibility of those wires, I need a 2nd set of experienced hands and those are hard to find lately.
