Ford ExplorerFord Explorer is a midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. Explorer was completely redesigned in 2006 and we were pleased with the new steering, new suspension, and new brakes, all of which were vastly improved over the previous-generation.
Window lift motor went out this weekend and had to drill out the 3 rivets holding rugulator so I could close my window for the night.
Today, I reapplied some short head bolts to connect back the regulator and then tried to position the new motor back on the rugulator. What a bear trying to turn the coil back into position then trying to secure the first bolt.
Is there a certain trick to linging up the teeth to the motor so that I can put the three bolts back in for assembly. I have tried for many hours but it just seems to be off kilter some and am stuck here.
I see the holes linging up but the teeth on the regulator don't seem to be engaging the motor gear properly. Cannot really see the teeth or gear so it is a little hard to describe exactly what is going on.
I have checked with many posts on this subject but none mention any problems about replacing the new motor and not linging up correctly.
Any help or pictures could be a blessing... Thanks
