I have an 04 ford explorer the alignment shop says I need new ball joints and Ford tells me that i have to buy the whole assembly as the ball joints are made into the control arms. Then they tell me that they are on back order and I will be number 500 on the list of people in line to get them. My question is can the ball joints be pressed out or is there a place that someone knows of that I can get new control arms I don't even care if I have to lower it if it will fix my shimmy problem.
