 Water Pump Replacement 98 Explorer 4.0 SOHC
I have a small coolant leak that seems to be, or may be from the water pump. I can't see any other alternative. The leak is low toward the drivers side and seems to leak down on the lower hose on the drivers side. If the weather is not hot it may take a week or ten days to lose a little less than a half gallon. I can drive 300 miles down the interstate and lose the same or less. Unless anyone, through similar experience, knows differently, I plan to repace the water pump, hoses and thermostat. Is there a step by step procedure available anywhere. The last time I did this cars were very simple to diagnose and repair. Any helpful comments would be appreciated. Thank you. |
