Ford Explorer Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. Explorer was completely redesigned in 2006 and we were pleased with the new steering, new suspension, and new brakes, all of which were vastly improved over the previous-generation.

Default Speakers

I my name is Kevin and i own a 1994 ford explorer. I have build a custom box for my sub and a custom boxes for my 6x9 speakers(they sit in the trunk) Now today i added a second amp to take out all the bass in the speakers so they sound better. The installation worked fine. My rear speakers that are in the trunk are wired to the amp and sound fine. Now i replaced the front speakers in the door also. I ran wires from the amp to the back of the deck, but i didn't hook it up to the deck. I used the wires that were labeled front speakers. As soon as i put the key on battery or i start the car i have static sound in the front speakers. The rear ones are fine just the front speakers are very noisy from the static. However if i run the speakers from the deak they work fine. I heard that fords already have amps in there so could that be the problem that the speakers run thru 2 amps, and then make the sound static or what could be the issue??

Thanks
Kevin
