Ford ExplorerFord Explorer is a midsize SUV with body-on-frame construction. Available with V6 or V8 power, the Explorer competes against the TrailBlazer, Grand Cherokee, 4Runner, and Pathfinder. Explorer was completely redesigned in 2006 and we were pleased with the new steering, new suspension, and new brakes, all of which were vastly improved over the previous-generation.
heres the deal i traded my old car a 97 v6 explorer sport 4x4 and the 4w high and low lights are flashing 6 times iv read that it is the shift box or something that has a rubber piece that needs to be cleaned and or replaced but the kid i got it from said when he took the dash cover out to change the radio the four wires to the 4x4 switch got "ripped" out and he put them back in how he thought they were i was thinking that they might be in the wrong spot and causeing this to happen i look at it and if you pull out the cover and keep the clip plugged in the colors read from left to right
Red/black strip
Black
Grey/red strip
White/blue strip
if someone could let me kno if thats the right order by looking at yours or a picture i would appreciate it before i go cleaning and stuff if the wires are backwards its would be a lot more easy
