in my F-body i run straight water with RedLine "water wetter" during the summer months, all my other cars I run 50/50 with the green.

That sounds VERY impressive. I would LOVE to see it. I want to do more to myt explorer. HA i know it sounds funny, but that 5.0 has ALOT of potential. And with your rear end choice. I wouldnt go with such a high gear set. That will end up causing alot of wheel hop. I know you know how gear ratios work, so i wont explain, but with 4.11 gears you will loose ALOT of top end power, but get alot of low end. Im thinking that motor has atleast 350-400 lb/torque, and with 4.11 gears, youll just roast the tires. I recomend a 3.73 OR 3.55!

i didn't see thermostat listed as a cause??????also once a mechanic removed my thermostat i don't ever remember it ever overheating,however the heat won't work,of course. yes if a radiator gets stopped up it will overheat. my last vehicle was a dodge kept overheating. i was told to touch the radiator after it got hot, top, middle, bottom. i did and one part u could't touch was too hot, the other part u could touch for 30 minutes. big difference, replaced radiator no more overheating problems.

i have an older ford explorer is a 93 and its over heating we changed the head caskets and iys still over heating idont know what could be the problem i dont know much about truck figuring i'm a female. help

hi also i wanted to add that my truck bubbles when i put anti freeze in the radiator. but i was driving it and it was fine then it started to over heat and then when i stop the car it was smoking and then it back up into that thing on the side that you put extra antifreeze in. if anyone could help i dont know much about trucks thank!

Bubbles = Blown head gasket and that is your overheating source.
