| Just a brief update , the following is on order from summit, along with gaskets and carb studs
HLY-0-8007 ST CARB 390 CFM 4 BARREL
OFY-6019DP MANIFOLD
PSM-70-1180 HEADER
SUM-G3003 A/C 14INX3IN FLAT BASE S/LOGO
you can check summit racing . com to see the parts.
for now I have to go change the oil pressure sending unit as my gauge shows no oil pressure, the gauge goes right to high end when I ground it out so I'm sure my wiring is ok and when I take off the oil filler cap I see oil in the rockers and I see more oil when my son steps on the gas. so I hope it's just the sender.
bye for now

| really?
probablly because I painted my engine blue.......
people like blue.
anyway got a new sending unit and the oil pressure is fine, I'm going to get a proper gauge so I can see the actual pressure the stock one in the dash just says high and low but no numbers you have to just judge by where the needle is.
might as well get a gauge for the coolant temp.
I should try to figure out how to hook up an rpm gauge too.
as for the time being I'm stuck in limbo cause my parts won't be shipped till the 28th at the earliest....
but I need that new intake for more reasons than one, my old stock intake is really warped and some tabs are cracked so she don't seal all that well.
plus my carb was leaking I think I fixed it, but I got the 4 bbl comming so no point foolin around too much trying to tune things that are not right anyway.
she can almost lay rubber the way she is so with the 4bbl I should be able to do a smoke show.
I can smoke em if I do a brake stand but I don't really want to do it like that.
I'll get my son to take a pic of me smokin the tire sometime soon.

| pulled 2 dead shrubs out of the ground with my truck today then squealed the tires in the garage....
some pics of the remenants of a small / short smoke show, just enough to make some smoke for about 5 seconds
I'll get my son to snap some pics while I do a longer smoke show when he gets home from school.
gotta save the rubber for when I can get some pics....

| the kids werent real quick on the camera so we didn't get very good pics, but I did a pretty good smokeshow,
I have to rotate the tires before I do another smoke show so we'll try again for better pics.
the garage was filled with smoke .
here's a couple of' not too good' pics but they are better than nothing

| Not to encourage too much tire destroying fun, but if you get a video on youtube, you can post it here.
