Ford F - Series The Ford F-Series lineup offers a plethora of models for every occasion or occupation, starting below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-Series line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.

I've been tracking my shipment on the UPS website.

there's 3 boxes and they keep bouncing all over the country. so far they've
been in Canada twice .

If they arrive 'on time' I should see it Thursday.

This is more stressfull than X-mas.

Dave

Dang that's crazy, you'd think it would be a direct shipment. Nice work on that 300 Dave looks good and should sound pretty psychotic with that header set. I just love the torque those engines make. Hope you get that smokeshow on video, would love to see it!

my son's bound and determined to buy a digital vid cam with his bithday money, so you guys just might see me wreck this truck yet....

I drive past this green maverick up the street everyday and I want to put this motor in it....

so if I twist the frame on this truck, I'll buy the maverick...

anyways the boxes have been from ohio to manitoba, back to ohio, ti ill. to indiana, back to manitoba and now they are god knows where.... in transit they say....

gotta get those parts my 1 bbl carb is F$#%ed and the stock manifold is warped and cracked....

gotta get one more cherry bomb muffler to for my duel exhaust, I've read that the 'X' cross over is the way to go to balance the pulses or equalize things somehow or other....

I NEED THAT shipment!!!

peace and out
Dave

I was going to ask how big that carb was, but I went back in the threads and saw you ordered a 390 cfm. That thing looks huge in the photo, like a 650+. Lookin' gooood......

jon or doug what do you think of that carb spacer....

It's got 1 large hole, rather than 4 small ones , I think the 4 small holes would be better or does the fuel mixture naturally get sucked down the hole
right below it any way.?

the work begins tomorrow after work, I might even skip playing baseball
lol
maybe I should anyways, last week we went for beers after ward and got home really late and I stayed in bed all day sat. mind you it was our 16 th wedding anniversary also, so we did alright.

more pics and apdates to come.....

Dave, I'd stick away from that particular carb spacer. I'd think you're making too drastic of a change from the carb to the 4 hole. Also You may have issues with your vacuum routes on the carb.

I'm curious to see how the 390 works out. I've been considering them for mild builds, but I always head to the 600 cfm range.

jon
I talked to summit and they have already sent me the 4 hole spacer ,I pay the shipping ans get to keep the other one, I would have had to pay shipping 2 ways If I exchanged it and summit said they would eat the cost of the part.

didn't start swapping parts yet cause I went to baseball , got hurt again but hit everytime I was at bat and came home once.

later dudes

Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum... i just picked up my 1986 F150 yesterday and i need some help. it's a 300 straight six four speed manual. the engine runs fine but the guy who sold me the truck said i should replace the carb on the truck (he said either the floater sticks or the throttle cable won't tell the floater to open and it makes a screeching sound when i drive it for the first mile or so and then it goes away)... i know dave above said he put a four barrell carb instead of the factory one barrell.... i would like some advise on which carb i should put on my truck and where can a get it for a decent price..
