Ford F - Series The Ford F-Series lineup offers a plethora of models for every occasion or occupation, starting below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-Series line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.

Dave - You never did verify for Jsoluna or for my curiousity, did you use POR-15 when you painted your motor?

It's not the same at all-but there's nothing wrong with the duplicolor rattle can paint, it's what I use.

Bald stock tires I'm sure. When you get above 500HP your supposed to try and make 'em bite.

It's nice to see other people interested in the old F150s. Mines an 81 and it needs WORK (Which I don't know how to do but since I'll be doing it anyway I better learn. lol) Everyone who knows about my truck tells me to junk it and buy a new one, I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees something in those old trucks worth saving. (under the rust of course )

Default sorry for the lack of updates....

but there hasn't been much to report on anyway.

Been otherwise occupied.

I drove the truck around town for the summer months and put on the 500 miles(it's actually more like 800km) that's the break in period.

I'm supposed to change the oil and filter now, which I will do.

I have time now to pull the tranny and decide what to do with that.
Rebuild/replace? torgue converter....

my friend who is smart and mechanically inclined(he just rebuilt a ski-doo he got from someone's garbage) will help with the ford truck tranny and then he wants to pull a porshe with a shot tranny in my garage and work on that.

sounds like a plan to me.

by the way my son got a video camera so we chocked the front wheels of the truck and did a smoke show in the garage.

here's a link to the vid on u tube.
