Default dome light wont work

Howdy, folks. I recently acquired a 2001 F350. Nice ride, but the dome/cargo light won't work at all. Tried new bulbs and the fuse is fine. Anybody else ever had this problem? Also, where is the switch on the door for the light? Thanks in advance.

The door light switch is on the latch mechanism in the door. I am guessing it is disconnected due to a sticky switch. Clean the switch if this is true with a good cleaner and lube it back up with Silicon Spray Lubricant, other lubricants attract dust and stay wet, Silicone Spay dries dry.

I don't get it why people always expect a old vehicle that breaks down to always be covered under some warranty?

yeah i had the same problem on my 73, i pulled the door jamb switch out and took my jackknife and scraped down the connectors to the bare metal and then used wd40 on it and havent had a problem yet, of coarse there is a big difference in the year 73 to 01 so idk if you can scrape the connectors down at all, might be a enclosed switch or something, but if you can pull it out normally with a socket mine was a 9/16th check out the connectors and what they look like and try that silicon spray mark v is talkin about and that should do the trick.
