hey i was wondering if anybody here knows what could cause jerking and slipping on a 95 f-150? the way it goes is it is fine in first gear and second gear but when it gets to third gear and around 30 mph the truck starts to jerk and i'm thinking it might be the transmission slipping. but i am not sure any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance
We had a problem very similar in my 95 f150 six cylinder five speed. It actually the engine missing. We changed the plugs, cap, and rotor and after that the problem went away. When was the last time your truck was tuned up?

put the transmission in park (automatic) or in gear (stickshift) with the vehicle safely jacked up. Then have a pal turn one of the wheels, while you watch the joints for play. You'll be able to tell if any is present and if its excessive.
