Ford F - Series The Ford F-Series lineup offers a plethora of models for every occasion or occupation, starting below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-Series line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.

I have no choice but to agree with everyone else that you shold have taken it for a test drive before you bought it. My dad has been buying Ford trucks and nothing else for 30 years and I couldn't be more satisfied with the truck. we even own a '76 F-150 and it is still better than some cars today. I also agree that the F-150 is the best truck on the planet, heck they obviously did something right if they have the best selling truck for 28 straight years!!!!!!!!

i agree with everyone here also. the one thing that keeps coming to mind is that the f-150 is and will be the #1 selling truck for along as ive been alive and you cant tell me that those millions of people hate their truck cause of the things you listed.

hate to break it to some of you but ford is going to buy cummins and make it an option in the trucks

No matter who builds what. Someone will start an argument. Then a law suit. Then they'll buy the same vehicle, again.

A lot of people buy a certain vehicle for several reasons; Visual appearance, interior design, power, towing, payload, aftermarket accessories, ground clearance, gearing, etc. The major factor is price. If you want a certain vehicle, but can get a better deal on another, you'd be foolish not to take it. If you regret your purchase afterwards, remember that it was you who made the choice to buy it. As much as I'd love to blame some of my mistakes on the wife it's not always feasable, but I suck it up and move on.

Ford won't buy Cummins. They have no contract with them. Not to mention they're currently struggling to find ways to pay their employees!. With any luck the fusino and Edge SUV will help regain some market share.

I maintain a large fleet of motor coaches and shuttle buses. The buses are F450 chassis with both the 7.3 and 6.0L versions. Any diesel, be it Isuzu, Power Stroke or Cummins, are all dogs with automatic transmissions. The cummins will outperform them both all with a standard transmission. If you get a chance look up the torque curves for all the engines and compare them. Then you'll see why. Ford's 5 speed auto is the best performing auto on the market right now. I haven't had the pleasure of testing the new Allison 6 speed with the duramax yet....

Ford makes some of the best engines in the world. Which is why I decided on the 3.0L taurus as my daily driver. 146 000kms and no problems. I strictly maintain all my vehicles and this car will easily surpass 300K before a rebuild.
With Ford's family pricing event on right now, I'm thinking of trading my 93 spirit in for a base focus 5 speed sedan just to flog around.

The F150 holds the thickest and highest weighted frame when compared to Dodge or GM. The HD series are good workhorses, even with the gas engines!

Bash Canada all you want. For such an economic rich country, we have one of the most corrupted governments in the world. But...that's another story.

It's nice to see you guys validating your own personal opinions by ganging up on this misinformed gentleman. While I agree that his problems seem to stem from a lack of research into what HE planned to do with the truck, I think that the rest of what you are saying is biased hogwash. The Reason the F150 is the best selling truck every year is because Ford gives away hordes of Fleet vehicles at no profit just so they can continue to claim the "Best Seller" moniker. As a technician for 17 years and a shop owner for most of that, I can assure you that the Ford trucks you speak so fondly of are not what you have fooled yourselves into believing. The reliability is on par with Dodge products and not even in the same league as any GM truck. The technology (including on board diagnostics) is at least 10 years behind the GM trucks and again on par with Dodge. What I am saying is stop listening to advertising and listen to someone who sees them every day.....The best Domestic truck is made by General Motors.....Go ahead and tekll me all of the reasons why you disagree, it won't change reality, I do this for a living and seing is believing......And that's MY 2 CENTS!

Well its like you said ask someboady that drives it everyday. I used to be a chevy or GM man my self until my businnes grew and had to get a real work truck, i got a silverado HD 02 and that was the real mistake im not going to complain or say it doesn't work but for a daily driver it ok if your getting a truck just to have one, looks, or just becouse, i realy put it to the test by houling upto 1ton first the payload cappacity is not acuaret as my exhust pipe would be literaly draging and fling sparks every where, as for everything else it needed more maintanence than persay my 04 F-250 Super Duty which i have loaded with 2 tons the first time i did this i could not belive the power behind these beasts as for maintanence ford every 7500k miles chevy 4000k miles fuel is aproximately the same but as for work specialy in construction there is no comparison ford is much more reliable/better as for price GMC wich is the same as the chevy only diffrent lable, well you should know being a thechnician and having access to the mechanical data base were it lists all brands and makes and you will see that GM by far has more defaults than ford but less than dodge. orale pues.
