| 89 f150 hesitation and stalling I have an 89 f150 w/5.0 eng. It starts and runs fine for about the first 15 minutes and then will start to hesitate and then stall. It will start back up, sometimes taking a little longer than others. It will idle fine with no problems. Fuel pressure is solid at 35 psi. The coil and fuel filter just were replaced along with rotor on distributor, cap looked fine. Switching between fwd and aft tanks makes no difference. It has these 3 error codes that im not sure are linked to my problem 25,33,44. I would appreciate any help that anyone could give me. Thanks |

| when it dies, do you have spark??? Had one that would run great for 10 to 20 minutes, then miss and die, it was a 88 with a 302. Turned out to be the distributor, it was inside hall effect sensor. |

| it doesnt die long enough to check it. its only happened in traffic and i have to get it going again. it starts back up but sometime takes a little longer than normal |

| could possibly be your fuel pressure regulator. i had one a while back that would run fine but once you shifted into gear to drive it would die. ran fine at idle, but then trying to drive it would just cough and die. started back up but would never stay running. i think the fuel pressure regulator runs about 40 dollars at the local auto parts store. |

| Check the fuel pressure before you commit to a new regulator.

| I have had distributor issues causing similar problems and sometime hard to figure out. If the pick up in the distributor is giving you a problem, it will effect the spark and the fuel. If you have access to another distributor, you could try that and see what happens. Try getting the vehicle to stall with a fuel pressure guage installed and verify if you lose fuel pressure. If you do not, I would suspect you are losing your spark.
