Ford F - Series The Ford F-Series lineup offers a plethora of models for every occasion or occupation, starting below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-Series line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.

The amount the rocker arms was tightened down. Ford's are non-adjustable, but if for some reason the pluger lash in the lifter is depleted noises will be made.

Did you check the pushrod length carefully? Early models used a 8.152 pushrod while yours is a 8.182. There is only .030 difference in the two and it would be easy to miss that and it would probably almost work, leaving just enough clearance for an annoying tick. I guess it would also be possible that your lifter got damaged in the meley, but I'm thinking short pushrod.

i have not checked that, and i am not sure what the length of the new pushrod was when i bought it from the auto parts store. i am planning to park it soon for the summer and work on the engine a little bit so i will check that out.
