Ford F - SeriesThe Ford F-Series lineup offers a plethora of models for every occasion or occupation, starting below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-Series line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.
I took my truck to the car wash and washed down the engine compartment. Driving home the engine wanted to stall upon heavy accelleration, which it finally did. Then I had difficulty restarting it. I 'gimp't' it home. Same problem this morning with start-up and accellerating under-load. Any suggestions?
High pressure wash could've also unhooked wires/vac lines under there. All kinds of nasty stuff.
Dry it out, dry it out. Remember WD-40 displaces water. Just don't over do it. Leave the hood open all aftenoon in the sun, remove the distributor cap and dry it off inside. Unplug the spark plug wires one at a time and dry off the insides of the boots at the distributor. Check to see if the air cleaner got wet. Water in there means no air. No air means chitty-chitty-bang-bang.
Get it all dry and make an offering to the Ford Gods.
