running/starting I have a 1988 F150 w/ 302 auto. My A/C has been upgraded to the 134a freon in 1992, done by my local Ford dealer. The problem I am having is when I turn it on for town driving it will either cause the truck to stall on me at low RPM, (lights, stop signs, etc..) or if I do make it to my destination and shut it off it becomes very, very hard to start, seems to be a firing problem.
Normally the truck runs very well, starts well, adequate power etc. It has about 180,000 miles on a factory rebuild. It has only had full synthetic oil in it since it was rebuilt. the truck is basically stock other than headers and 3" exhaust. any ideas what the problem could be? |
