Ford F - Series The Ford F-Series lineup offers a plethora of models for every occasion or occupation, starting below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-Series line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.

Thumbs up 1987 F250 problem.

Resolved, finally.
It has electric fuel pumps and a carb. Yes, it was made this way. The Ford sticker affixed to the hood shows it just like this. It usta have a Holley-Motorcraft, which is still a Holley, which I fixed by calling 1-800-EDELBROCK.
The problem - no fuel.
Resolution - replaced 2 fuel pumps, one was dead the other grinding, and FSV replaced. Checked lines for blockage they were good.
No power to relay coil under hood above drivers front wheel well. Treced power from fuel pump to FSV to dash switch to impact gizmo inide near steering column to relay under hood to EGR sensor. Broken wire, not at the end, but in the middle, but insulation not broken, between connector and EGR. EGR sensor also bad.
This was a real mother chasing down.

Good for you!

Multiple problems, and broken wires can be a real pain to track down. Good job!
Certainly gives one a feeling of accomplishment, eh?

Makes me want to get a new 12-guage shotgun. 50 hours I spent on this SOB.
