Ford 150 Automatic Transmission 2003

Can someone give me some trouble-shooting ideas? This is what happened today, without warning...pulling out of my driveway, my truck would not shift into overdrive and when trying to do so, it appeared to go into neutral, after disengaging the overdrive on the shift lever, I could drive normally, but still did not shift properly, when arriving at my destination it became apparent I had no reverse either. There were no warning signs, erractic shift behavior, slippage etc. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be? Bad fuses, relays, etc...? I can't comprehend that the transmission is gone, especially with no symptoms. Thanks in advance...

We have been having problems with our 2003 F150 as well. It goes in and out of overdrive all of the time. The tacometer goes up and down showing that our motor is running faster. I have been searching the internet to see if others have had this problem and if any recalls are pending or active. We have approximately 53,000 of easy miles.

you need to take it to your local ford dealer before causing any more internal transmission damage. the longer that it's driven while slipping will cause more expensive repairs.
