Ford F - Series The Ford F-Series lineup offers a plethora of models for every occasion or occupation, starting below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-Series line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.

Default Battery power discharge

1996 F250 460 cid has new battery, cables and solenoid. If I let it sit for a week or so, the battery drains. Something is shorting or grounding somewhere I suspect. Anyone had similar problems and what was your solution? These electrical problems make me crazy! Your input will be appreciated.

Pull your negative cable, and put a test light between the cable and the neg battery post. Then pull fuses one by one. When the light goes out you know which circuit to look closer at.
The most common problems are wiring for aftermarket add ons like radios or lights.
