I see you've not received much feedback yet, so here's another to go with 'parr4' comment.
I had a similar issue on a Ford dash and I found a place to fix it for a very reasonable price (less than $60) to make the dash look like new. Where you are in Texas, inquire at the places that do auto upholstery, seat repairs, possibly auto/truck "detailing" and such. If the first one you check doesn't do the dash repairs, chances are THEY will know who in the area might.
When mine was complete, I couldn't tell the cracks at all--even the vinyl pattern was perfectly blended. I'd imagine there in Texas you have a WHOLE BUNCH of experts that do just this type of thing. Depending how close to the border you are, you MIGHT be able to take it and have them do the whole thing in leather for not too bad of a price.
While you're down there, may as well get some dental work done and have your prescriptions filled
