Hello on my F-350 the airbag light flashes twice, then a brake then three times then a brake, I think it repeats this several times then stays on. Is this something I can reset or is this something I need to go to a dealer for?
Yes!! I have an 06 F-150 with the same problem and have been to the dealership 8 times and they have replaced all the sensors and even the main airbag control unit. Do you live near an airport?? I pass the radar station near Luke AFB on my way home and it would trigger the sensors to fault and then I would get the 2 flashes then 4 flashes etc etc. I found out numerous folks are having an issue with this in my area and the sysyten is not shielded from certain frequencies and folks near airports are reporting similiar problems. It is because of the frequency of the radar that triggers the sysytem for some reason. I even traded my brand new 2006 truck for an 2007 and it did the same thing!
When I tell folks they think it is weird but it's true. I had my trucked check for proper grounding etc and the technicians were baffled until recently when one of the ford technicians told me recently a news channell did a brief investigation on this issue. My truck is still not fixed and the light only comes on when I pass the radar station on my way to work...you may have a actual problem so I'd take it to the dealership
