92 351 exhaust problems

I recently put new manifolds on my truck and I am still having an exhaust leak that sounds like it is up by the intake. I have been told that there is a tube that goes from head to head and that could be causing my issue. Anyone had this issue before and know how to find the leak? Thanks.

Same problem here.I have an '88 F-250 351.There is an air tube that goes from head to head with a single hold-down bolt on each side.The tube on mine had rust holes in it ,hence the "tractor" like exhaust sound. So I just removed the tube(along with the air pump,which you can get a shorter belt to compensate) and cut the tube and sealed it at the "block" shaped ends that bolt to the back of the heads(I welded the ends I cut off on mine,or you could thread a plug into it). and put them back on

I found they still carry the air tube at advance aout parts,it goes for about 42$

The heads are threaded,just trash the crossover tube & screw a bolt into each head(done this to the '86 5.0 I put in my Comet)
