Pinging 2002 150 4.2L

theadley Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Posts: 1	Pinging 2002 150 4.2L I have a 2002 150 4.2 with 108000 Miles. It developed a pinging problem aroud 100000 Miles. The ping starts as soon as vehicle reaches operating temperature and remains consistant. I have tried everything imaginable. -different brands of gas -higher octane gas(makes it worse) -complete tune up -tested by my mechanic (4 days in shop) -tested by local Ford dealer,another four days in shop. Ran 3 different computer programs and nothing shows up -Contacted Ford Corperation..what a waste of time that was! -Ran "Sea Foam" through intake,helped with acceleration but still pings! Other than the pinging problem the truck runs great and has served me well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
