Ford F - SeriesThe Ford F-Series lineup offers a plethora of models for every occasion or occupation, starting below $20,000 and climbing beyond double that. The F-Series line offers something on the order of 75 permutations, more than some car companies' entire lineups. All are capable of work or play, even those models with luxurious interiors, and all have four doors.
'93 F350 diesel, passenger side battery ground cable shorted through the coolant line for some reason while backing a trailer.. I cut out the damaged spot and inserted a hose and hose clamps. The truck will crank but the transmission will not move it. I lost 4 quarts of trans fluid but replaced it to the proper full mark. You can put it in any gear and it will not move the truck forward or backward. It was running good before this happened but cannot figure this one out. Would appreciate any help.
Get ready for the 351 boss build this summer, 4v closed chamber heads, 2.25/1.75 valves, .750 lift, 12.5:1 piistons, wieand tunnel ram, nitrous, I think its gonna roar!
Appreciate your reply: Someone else filled the tranny with fluid, but when I check it while running in neutral it shows to be at the full mark, would that be the same as filling the tranny while running in neutral?
some people think they are checking the level when the motor is off, but actually the level can show pretty innacurate because the valve body and tourqe convertor aren't filled with fluid in the same manner as when they are running.
Check to make sure that the wiring to the transmision didn't get burned.
