Default Tire Size for 2001 F-150

I have a 2001 F-150 4x4 with 255/70/16 tires. I recently acquired a set of 17" wheels for free and was wondering what size tire would compare to what I currently have so I don't screw up the speedometer or the odometer.

The tires you have now are approximately 30" tall correct? If so I would reccomend a 255/70/17 or a 255/60/17.

A 255/65/17 would be perfect, but isn't made, or at least as far as i know.

Thanks for the help. I actually found a few places that sell 255/65/17.

My 03 FX4 came stock with 17 inch rims and 265 70 r 17 tires. they are around 32 inches tall and 8.3 inches tread width. You might have better luck finding this size in a larger variety of tires. Personally I think I am going to get 33's when these wear out. They should fill up the wheel wells a little better.
