Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Default 62 fairlane rear suspension.

'ello all, im thinking about putting in a coil spring suspension in the REAR end, but im not sure if its worth it. not really much literature on that sorta thing. but my real concern is if coil spring suspension would be ok for horsepower in the range of 400-600. what kind of concerns am i looking at?

not really concerned with the welding and what not, just the integrity of the parts. if they could stand up to it for daily driving and the ocasional strip.

and this would be for my 62 fairlane 2dr. prolly a 351W and a c6 tranny....

thanks, any input is appreciated!

What are you thinking? Using a Mustang subframe? It ought to work, just stay with the sold rear axle, and keep away from the IRS.
