 Need Assistance Identifying Part Numbers
I came into a set of small block aluminum heads for a very good price, so now I'd like to ask for the gangs help in telling me if (one) Are they good heads for my 302 Fairlane drag project? (two) Are they good performance pieces? ( three) Anything I should watch out for when using them? Here we go: stamped 5589 on the end of each head with the scrip "SVO" also on the end. Inside the heads was "3ZM6049" and "y302". Complete set of Crane roller rockers with "F3ZE-6529-AB" . Triple springs, the keepers and retainers have no numbers. Previous owner missed a shift, snapped the timing apparatus and bent all the valves. The intakes were marked "J302" and the exhausts "G302" with the Ford Oval visible. Can I get replacements at my local Ford house? How much? (approx.). Looks like I'll have about 10 to 1 compression, no bottle. I have a most excellent machine shop that does first rate work, should anything need checking/repair/replacement/etc. Thanks up front for everyone's assistance. RICK
