| 67 fairlane 2 dr. vibration problem i bored the original 289 to a 347 stroker, what a great motor. New Top loader 4 spd tranny (rebuilt all original). Question, when i let out clutch in first gear i get bad vibration thru car. Only when getting started in 1st gear. All other gears fine. i tightened tranny mount bolts and motor mounts? any suggestion you fairlane owners out there? |

| that is a great motor? i have had that problem, it may be the seals, they could by dry. mine was an automatic though. we jus lubed the seal and i didnt have any trouble.. but good luck |

| Does it vibrate idling?What was the balance on the 347,50oz or 28oz?Gotta make sure you balance it right,otherwise you'll beat the bearings out of it in short time.If all that's fine,maybe a weak pressure plate?

| Probably the pressure plate. Did you resurface the fly wheel and install a new clutch assembly? Is it a diaphragm style pressure plate or a finger type? I always have trouble with the diagphragm type chattering. |
