Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Question 67 with 460
i'm curious as to how hard it is to transplant a 460 into a 67 fairlane. now, the car has a 289 in it currently. the car is getting a big block reguardless, i'm just wondering if it is harder to put in a 460 as opposed to an FE. i know they came with FE's as factory eqipment, but do they make mounts and everything for a 460. i just want to do a 460 cause they're easier to come by and easy to make power. any help is appreciated. thanks.

Crites makes a kit to put a 429/460 into the Fairlanes.No cutting/welding,all bolt in.Good fit too.
