Ford FairlaneFord Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.
I have the key to my 63 fairlane, but the cylinder does not want to turn. This car has set for an extremely long time, last registered in 1982. My question is, will the rear seatback lift up off the bottom (like my 68 Mustang does) so that I can get to the trunk? Is it even possible to get through there that way or is there some type of panel behind the seat?
Remove seat bottom, may be two screws on wires holding down the seat back , remove seat back and use several long extensions to remove 2 7/16 bolts holding on the trunk latch. your in. good luck
