Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Default advice needed

Hey guys,
I've got a 2dr '64 sport coupe 500 that i'm tryin to make a better daily driver. First, i wud like to convert from drum to disc on the front end. Who has done this? Was it a kit? When the rotors, bearings, pads where out what do you use for a reference to get replacement parts? Second, i'm wanting to replace my 260/fordomatic with a 302/c-4. Any advice? Will i need a new driveshaft made? What about a kickdown cable? Third, has anybody swapped the wiring harness/fuse box for something with more fuses? Where did ya get it? Any other advice that you think would help me turn my car into a everyday driver would be helpful. Thanks!!

i don't know about the new driveshaft but i just put a 302 into a 62 fairlane and if your wanting to put an electric fan in with it look for a newer style timing cover to throw onto it, the old timing cover that fit the 69 mustangs sticks out too far to clear an electric fan easily. second make sure you can find motor mounts and headers to fit your car.
