Ford FairlaneFord Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.
I just purchased a 62 fairlane post. The front clip of the car is in bad shape so I am going to need to replace it. Looking into fiberglass for the front end and of course I can not find any, just for the 63-64 models. Can I bolt 63-64 fiberglass fenders and hood on a 62? I know I would have to use the grill/headlight and bumper assemblies from a 63-64, but will the rest of it bolt up and match the door lines and all that stuff? I have looked at all kinds of pictures for 62-64 models and the body lines on the doors/fenders look the same where they meet. I appreciate any help anyone can provide.
