Ford Fairlane Ford Fairlane was produced from 1955 through 1969. The original body design was the full sized Ford body which started out as a family vehicle and slowly evolved into many different available models and body styles. The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.

Default Wheel spacers?

Hi guys I searched hi and low and got really no info on this. I have a 66 4 door and I'm wanting to put sapcers on the stock 14" wheels but I'm wondering if 1.25" spacers will work on a 225/60/14 tire? right now I have 205/75/14 tires. but I'm not wanting to change my wheels just the stance of the car. Any info would help thanks.

Well, the new tires will be .8" wider overall, so they would stick in about .4" further than the current tires. I'm guessing you could put those on without the spacers, but I could be wrong. If not, the spacers should bring it out far enough.

Also, those tires you want to switch to will be about 2" shorter.

Try this..that way you can convert the tire size into inches

Thank you that is great info, I was wondering how much of it would change from one tire to another. I will probably just the spacers and get a 5 dollar junk yard tire to see what size I can run with out any rubbing issues.
