The exterior paint and trim options, seemed endless with elaborate cloth woven seat covers and a rainbow of paint combinations.
My father-in-law, like so many of us, is regretting selling his '68 500 Fastback many years ago (in the mid-80s). He's now looking to get it, or another like it, back into the garage. Unfortunately he has no record of the VIN so it will be tough to track. But I thought i could try a fairlane forum to help him out. So here is my long shot ...
It was a 1968 500 Fastback in Moss Green - as far as I am aware this is a rare color. The car was sold in Barrie, Ontario (Canada) to a young guy around 1985. A few years later the buyer brought the car by to show my father-in-law the restoration work that he had done.
So, does anyone in the Fairlane community know the whereabouts of a 1968 Moss Green 500 Fastback that may be for sale, or of one specifically from or still in Canada?? Or even info on finding a car if the VIN is not available.
